A caretaker, rebel, ruler, or wanderer is a temporary configuration of motives and relationships. Most situations contain several figures, and the same figure changes across cultures and contexts.

Recurring figures without fixed scripts
Archetypes name recurring patterns in stories, images, and behaviour. They are most useful when they widen interpretation. They become reductive when a living person is forced into a single role.
Read the relation
Ask what the figure wants, fears, protects, refuses, and costs the surrounding community. An archetype becomes legible through tension, not a list of flattering traits.
Tarot as an archive of figures
Tarot courts and trumps offer a portable cast, but their meanings are not sealed. The Emperor in a boundary question differs from the Emperor in a question about inherited authority.
A practice
Try it without forcing an answer.
Name the figure you are performing in one current situation. Then name the figure the situation excludes and let it answer back in writing.
