Grandiosity, impatience with anyone slower, delegation that is really abdication, or leadership that has become autocratic because dissent slows things down. It can indicate a compelling plan that nobody has checked, or your own conviction hardening into an unwillingness to hear that it might be wrong.

Reversed, it points to a partner whose energy goes entirely outward while the relationship absorbs whatever is left, or to conviction about the future that never quite becomes a concrete plan involving both of you.

Professionally, this is founder energy: setting direction, persuading people to follow it, and holding a long view through periods when nothing confirms it. It favours starting ventures and inspiring teams. Reversed, it warns of a leader who cannot delegate, of strategy unmoored from operational reality, or of impatience that makes it unsafe for anyone to raise a problem.

Spiritually, the King of Wands concerns conviction strong enough to organise a life around, and the discipline required to keep testing it. He favours principle put into practice at scale. Reversed, it warns of certainty that has stopped being examined, and of spiritual authority assumed rather than earned by anyone who has actually done the work.

The shadow King is the visionary nobody can work with. He is genuinely right often enough to justify the impatience, gradually surrounds himself with people who have learned not to disagree, and cannot understand why the results keep depending entirely on his own attention.
